Great effort, North Scott! Man alive, you just thought they were gonna pull off the huge upset. I can easily see them winning four straight to finish the season and maybe still get that first-round home game. One thing's for sure -- the MAC is far-more competitive this year at the top (and for the most part, even at the bottom), and there could be some MAC teams that are 6-3 and 7-2 get into at least the second round.

PVSpartans1 -- Maybe, but the thing is, North Scott gave a great effort and PV had to pull out its final defensive trick to win, so please at least acknowledge. Remember, teams in the MAC have to play FOUR quarters, not just a half and the rest be continuous clock anymore. (Meaning, it's far more competitive this year and you'll see fewer blowouts.)

Great game NS - PV does what Bett has done in the past, win when needed. I'm sure BETT will be back but for this year PV is the best chance to get to state for the MAC

Meanwhile, elsewhere in eastern Iowa, Iowa City Regina ... 5-0 with a 51-0 win over Cardinal of Eldon. I know I said the MAC is better this year, but I'm not sure even a great Mississippi Valley or even Central Iowa Metro League team could beat Regina right now. They appear unstoppable even by the top Class 4A teams!

I was at the BETT game, they have a few players out and a lot of junior slotted and some sophs - unusual gap in talent at BETT lsat two years. Appears to be a reload one year out for talent at football. PV taking advantage of their talent at the Senior level man those guys are talented. Sad to see them leave the MAC

Surprising to see North Scott with a 2-3 record to this point. But their schedule has definitely been front-loaded, and with them having Muscatine and Central both at home, I assume a 6-3 record with a decent playoff seed is still very much in play.
