I do, and I’m here to bring you up to speed: ELO is the acronym for Electric Light Orchestra, the band Lynne helmed from 1970 to 1986. Its hits included the chestnuts “Strange Magic” and “Evil Woman,” which is what we’re being treated to right now by the new incarnation, called Jeff Lynne’s ELO.

We are really on a roll of stunning performances, music fans. From Ed Sheeran we go straight into Jeff Lynne’s ELO. Who remembers the band from its heyday?

Sheeran is 23. And he’s got a birthday coming up: Feb. 17.

For those who aren’t yet well versed in all things Sheeran: The song is off of the British singer’s 2014 sophomore album “x.”

Who’s this teaming up with Ed? Amazing: John Mayer, Questlove! And — hold up — Herbie Hancock! This is GRAMMY magic.

And now for more pre-Valentine’s Day romantic tremors: It’s Ed Sheeran with the beautiful “Thinking Out Loud.” Everyone should think out loud with this much grace. Ed Sheeran is a man without filters. A man who needs no filters.

Beyonce woud sparkle in anything, but in this black dress she is glimmering. Short, sweet acceptance.

Because I, for one, have already been entertained to within an inch of my life. I’ll keep asking and you keep telling: What have you enjoyed the most so far? Whose award acceptance choked you up? Any gripes about who DIDN’T pick up a GRAMMY?

And back one more step to Kanye's great performance. Let’s hope baby North will love this performance when she’s old enough to appreciate it. So much dad soul was on display there. Old soul? Kanye soul. All kinds of soul, let’s say.

Nice win for Beck. But let’s talk about the great Tom Petty, who was nominated in that category, for a sec. Because his name was being thrown around a lot in the run-up to tonight’s show. Here’s the deal: Because of similarities between Sam Smith’s “Stay With Me” and Petty’s 1989 hit “I Won’t Back Down,” Petty and Electric Light Orchestra's Jeff Lynne are sharing a writing credit on Smith’s GRAMMY-nominated song to settle a copyright dispute. Smith is said to have acknowledged the similarities between his hit and Petty’s song, but apparently the similarities are completely coincidental. I believe Sam Smith! But I also love when Tom Petty gets respect from his peers, because he is a legend and a rock genius.
