Two explosions shattered the euphoria of the Boston Marathon finish line on Monday, sending authorities out on the course to carry off the injured while the stragglers in the 26.2-mile trek from Hopkinton were rerouted away from the smoking site of the blasts.

A TSA supervisor at Logan Airport has told his security people to ask travelers who looked like they had attended the Marathon if they took any photos near the finish line that they would be willing to turn over to officials investigating the bombings.

One of the bombs was placed inside a metal pressure cooker hidden inside a backpack, according to Channel 7. Some were constructed with a low-velocity explosive.

Investigators have appealed to marathon spectators for amateur video and photos that might yield clues to lead to the person or persons responsible for the bombings. Even images that people might not think are significant could lead to developments.
